Plumbing calls answered nights, weekends and mid-job.
Burst pipes and backed-up drains don’t keep business hours. Your receptionist answers when you can’t, follows your emergency policy, and leaves you a callback with everything you need.
Three ways shops use it.
Set with your phone carrier’s call forwarding. Options vary by carrier, so it’s set up and tested during setup.
After hours only
You answer during the day. Nights, weekends and holidays go to the receptionist.
When you don’t pick up
Calls ring you first. If you’re busy or on a job, the call goes to the receptionist instead of voicemail.
All the time
Every call is answered by the receptionist, and you work from your dashboard and callbacks.
Your emergency policy, followed every time.
During setup you decide what counts as urgent in your shop and what should happen. The receptionist follows that policy instead of making it up on the spot.
- An urgent call comes in at 2 a.m.Answered in your company’s name.
- It hears what’s wrongAnd keeps the details: what’s leaking, where, how bad.
- It offers a transfer to youIf your policy says urgent calls should reach you.
- You don’t answer, or they’d rather not waitIt collects their contact info and address, keeping the problem details.
- A callback is waitingWith everything you need to call back and take the job.
Your rules, not a script someone else wrote.
- Your confirmed business hours and time zone
- What counts as an emergency for your shop
- The number urgent calls should be transferred to
- What callers should be told about callbacks
- Whether after-hours callers can book the next available appointment
After-hours questions.
Can it book appointments?
Yes. It books into the Jobs schedule in your dashboard, using your hours, appointment length and availability. It only tells the caller an appointment is confirmed after the booking has actually been saved.
What happens with emergency calls?
You set your emergency policy during setup. The receptionist can offer to transfer an urgent caller to your phone. If you don’t pick up, or the caller would rather not wait, it keeps the details of the problem, collects their contact information and saves a callback so you can call them back.
Does it answer after hours and on weekends?
It answers whenever calls are forwarded to it. You choose when that is: all the time, only after hours, or only when you don’t pick up. That’s set with your phone carrier’s call forwarding.
Can I keep my business phone number?
Yes. Your carrier forwards calls from your existing number to the receptionist, and your customers keep calling the number they already have. Forwarding options vary by carrier, so it’s set up and tested during setup. Moving (porting) your number is not part of the standard setup.
